Short Bio

 

Something changed in Dan Tredget’s music when the pandemic hit. His songs became…happier. He realised song-writing didn’t have to be an outlet to pour out all his hurt and angst. Rather he saw it as a way to celebrate life and be grateful for everything he had. Perspective is something he has gained since leaving Australia in 2017. Having found the first two years challenging almost to the point of giving up he realised nothing was going to stop him from writing songs and it was only thing he wanted as a career. Unable to return home post-COVID, he stayed in London where despite live performance restrictions, he continued to write songs, teach guitar and busk between lockdowns. The simpler way of life seemed to mirror his headspace and he used this time to reflect on his journey and understand what was important. He learnt what to be thankful for and to look at the bigger picture rather than allow one difficult chapter to taint a shelf-full of stories worth telling.
